The Beat - I Confess

In November of 1982, The Beat released their eleventh single, "I Confess". It was backed by "Sole Salvation". Both tracks appeared on their third album, Special Beat Service. The single reached the #54 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The ska band from Birmingham, England disbanded in 1983. Dave Wakeling and Ranking Roger formed General Public. Andy Cox and David Steele formed Fine Young Cannibals. The band was known as The English Beat in the U.S.

The B side of this single in the U.S. was "March Of The Swivelheads", a non-LP track that appeared in the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
