Let Us All Bask in the Glory of Harry Styles' Enormous Pants Energy - Esquire.com Posted: 18 Dec 2019 07:49 AM PST Neil MockfordGetty Images There are many Harrys in this world. One of them is even a prince. But really, there is only one Harry in the world, because Harry Styles recently released his new album Fine Line and even though there is, again, an actual prince who shares his first name, right now we're only talking about Harry Styles. So, about that Harry Styles chap. He was in London this week, performing at the BBC Radio One Live Lounge. I don't know what song (or songs) he decided to bestow upon the ears of the UK's listening public, and it doesn't matter. I am not here to talk about songs. I am here to talk about Harry Styles' enormous pants. Or, as they say across the pond, "trousers." ("Pants" are underpants. Now you know!) Now, big though they are—and they are very big—here's the thing about Harry Styles' pants: They are but one part of this majestic ensemble. There is also a jacket, which is plaid, and looks fantastic. And then there's the T-shirt, a collaboration between Styles and one of his leading fashion muses, Gucci's Alessandro Michele. There are also, of course, shoes. They're white, and I assume they're pretty cool, but I wouldn't put money on that because (remember!) those pants. I can barely see the damn shoes. But the pants, well, they're clearly the star of the show. They are righteous. They demand attention, and they deliver entertainment. 2018 was all about BDE. But right before the buzzer, 2019 has declared itself the year of BPE. And Harry's pants? They've got a whole lot of energy. |
J. Crew recalling boys’ denim pants due to choking hazard - WFSB Posted: 18 Dec 2019 07:26 AM PST (Meredith) – J. [Click here to view the full recall] UPC codes 099105125419 and 099105125420 are listed on the price tag attached to the pants. About 900 units are affected by this recall. The jeans were sold at J. Crew and Crewcuts stores nationwide and online at jcrew.com from July 2019 through October 2019 for about $50. I bought these jeans. What should I do?Consumers should immediately take the recalled pants away from children and remove the stones from pockets or internal waistband opening to eliminate the hazard. J. Crew received one report of stones found in the waistband extension of the pants. No injuries have been reported. |

Kate Middleton's 2019 Style: The Duchess Embraced a New Era With Pants - Vanity Fair Posted: 18 Dec 2019 08:59 AM PST Because Kate Middleton's consistently polished looks mirror her put-together personality, she makes dressing like a future queen look effortless. She hit upon her signature style fairly early in her days as a working royal and has been wearing structured coats and tailored dresses ever since. But in 2019, she began to establish her legacy in philanthropy and supporting research into early childhood education. Through it all, her style also shifted to reflect her busy event schedule and renewed purpose. This year saw her focus on hands-on events with parents and children, and she increasingly dressed to be ready to get on the play mat if she needed to. She was just as likely to wear a pair of trousers and a professional blouse to an event as she was to wear a dress, and she even broke out a pair of tennis shoes before a boat race in August. (During the race itself, she was seen wearing a pair of shorts in public for what might be the first time since she got married!) In the beginning she favored trendy, wide-legged pants, but by the end of the year she was also wearing slim trousers that were practically office-appropriate. For her more formal looks, she continued to embrace her favorite designer, Alexander McQueen, and added in a few looks by Oscar de la Renta. She also reworked a few of her evening classics from previous years, embracing a spirit of frugality that the Queen probably appreciated. A trip to Pakistan showed exactly how much attention her team pays to the minute details of dressing. Her tour wardrobe was comfortable, modest, full of homages to the country and to Princess Diana, but it still felt quintessentially Kate. In October 2017, Kate opened up about the fact that motherhood can be "isolating," but as time has gone on, she's increased her workload and seems to be hitting her stride. As of this fall, her two oldest children are now in school, and 2019 was the first full year she spent as a working mother of three. Though she originally embraced some of the Queen's habits when it comes to dressing and accessorizing, her outfit choices show a duchess more comfortable with reimagining the royal rules for the 21st century. |
