Cardi is releasing a new song called “UP” on Friday (February 5).
Cardi’s most recent single was August’s “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion, which set a new record for the biggest debut streaming week. Folloowing the song’s commercial success, it was not submitted for the Grammys consideration this year. The song will reportedly be submitted next year as part of Cardi’s next album, but plans for her follow-up to 2018’s invasion of privacy have not yet been announced.
